toshiba recovery boot key windows 7

I thank you very much for your efforts in helping me though!
Still have this problem with the Toshiba Satellite C655D laptp-no boot up since installing MS Silverlight-pc tries to boot but I think I need a Windows password?
I can use F3 key during boot up to check memory-that works or I can go into bios recovery setup during boot up attempt.M/support/home windows Let us know if you need any help.B) In the Install Now screen select Repair my boot computer. To reset a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8, you can either access the System Restore, Refresh, and boot Reset options directly from within Windows, or, you can access the Windows 8 Recovery Wizard toshiba at start-up.I now have been asked to enter HDD password which displayed as "registered" in the bios. Thanks for marking this as the answer.Brian Did this solve your problem? If the Disc works well with the Windows XP computer I would suggest you to get in touch with Toshiba for help.In order to fix this, I would suggest you to perform system restore boot via Win RE mode toshiba and then try to remove any instances left out for Silverlight.

I would suggest that you take the hard drive out and slave it to another computer - you may need to use some sort of 'caddy' but they are widely available - to try and save what june you can of your own data.
To run chkdsk from Windows Recovery Environment.
Hello Brian, Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Community.
Hi nanny with Brian, This error is related to the way Windows interacts with the hard drive during an unexpected shutdown.
Cannot perform task as you mention (System Restore) I have returned to using my XP machine-which has been doing very well-I actually like it better than the Windows 7-it's much more reliable.Restart the laptop and immediately press and hold the F8 key. Thanks for your reply-I nanny have tried this suggestion-CD/ROM drive appears to read the Windoes Recovery Disk but does nothing (I selected boot from DVD drive in the bios.)-I don't nanny understand why this problem happened when I installed MS Silverlight ver.130214.0-this was june last event done.Thank you for taking interest with problem I have-I cannot boot using the Windows Recovery Enviroment disc-(I set laptop to boot from DVD drive first)-the drive spins the disk-seems to be reading it but does nothing.I ask how can this happen? .This is a pretty flimsy restore option to say the least. From here, you will be asked if you want to proceed with the recovery. Please post with the required information. As you mentioned that Silverlight was last application that was installed before computer worked june fine and may be that is what is not allowing you to boot the computer to desktop.

Presently I cannot get into anything-I cannot open any menu to anything-only event I can experience is while laptop toshiba recovery boot key windows 7 is trying to boot I stop laptop during a brief blue screen flash using pause/break key-thus seeing page declaring "Unmountable Boot Volume".
From PC Settings screen) Click the Restart Now button (i.e.
